Adrianna and David's Northern Virginia Wedding

It isn't every day you get to photograph the wedding of two folks who met while they were both cheering for George Washington University. Not in the stands, folks. That's on the field in uniforms. Here are a couple of pictures from their engagement shoot this past spring- cherry blossom time!

Now on to the good stuff. This pocket-sized couple are officially a bucket full of adorable!

Adrianna got ready at the Courtyard Marriot, Tysons Corner. We took advantage of their empty bar for a few shots:

What a handsome fella!

These two gentlemen are affectionately known as "The Towers."

Hopping to it!

A couple of ceremony shots:

And poking out of the top of their gigantic Hummer limousine:

Look at the ladies!

David's favorite pose:

The reception was at the glorious Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna, Virginia. Here we are in the atrium!Signature drinks!

The calm before...
...the storm!
I'm pretty sure these are the cakey-est faces I've ever seen- good job, ya'll!

I hear quite a weight is lifted from the shoulders of the bride's parents when their only daughter's wedding has officially been declared a fantastic success:

Allrightey- the artistic genius behind this event is the sexy guy in the back here. Enrique did a MARVELOUS job! He planned the event and also spearheaded the decorating and flowers. If you are in New York, D.C., or Miami and have a space or an event in need of design- this is the guy whose eyeballs you are going to want in your corner. Check out his website here: Life Designs by Enrique
And a few fun reception shots:

Good night everyone!

Congratulations to Adrianna and David! Thanks for having Poetic Reality Productions provide your wedding photography and videography. Ya'll were such a pleasure to spend time with, and I look forward to editing your project!

Ashley and Jeremy's High Point Wedding

Hot off the presses! Ashley and Jeremy exchanged vows in August at First Baptist Church in High Point. Afterwards, they partied with High Point's finest at the High Point Country Club. This song is a favorite of the couple, and much more mellow than my usual stuff. Enjoy the video everybody, and Congratulations to Ashley and Jeremy!

Abby and Andrew's Castle McCulloch Wedding

On Saturday this photographer found herself at the wedding of Abby and Andrew at Castle McCulloch. Tough job some of us have- these two are a bucket full of adorable. Seriously- they should quit their day jobs and get new ones as picture frame models. See for yourself!

Everyone's friends should take a lesson in how to give a gift from these gals...

Abby begrudgingly donned a veil...

Look at all the ladies!

Our dashing groom...

And all his handsome fellas!

This picture was Abby's idea. She wanted to do a picture of the two of them on either side of a door before the ceremony, unable to see each other yet right next to each other. Well, the Crystal Garden at the Castle is all glass! No doors fit the bill. We improvised with a bit of drapery. I think it turned out very cool...

Melonbelly provided the entertainment. These guys provide the best of both worlds- live music for the ceremony and reception, as well as a full DJ set-up so you can have the complete wedding experience of doing the Soulja Boy. Be sure to check them out!

Here's a beautiful take on the "unity sand" idea that has been so popular with outdoor weddings these past couple of years. Abby and Andrew each poured sand into one half of this hourglass...

At the reception, wedding portraits from Abby and Andrew's parents and grandparents were on display. We took this picture in "old timey" style. I think it's a nice homage to their ancestors...

You know it's a rollicking party when dad gets up and sings Elvis songs with the band (and yes- Melonbelly was able to handle this too!). While from the outside it might look like a drunken display of karaoke, Abby's dad was actually recreating a scene from her childhood. It turns out that a five year old Abby and several friends were snowed in for a slumber party and dad had to improvise some hip-swivelin' entertainment. Since Abby is one of those lucky gals who is still friends with the same people as when she was five, dad re-created the moment for us all. He did a great job!

Congratulations to Abby and Andrew! Have an awesome time in Bora Bora!
