Castle McCulloch Wedding Photography

I love this bride and groom! Doug and Becky are smart, sarcastic, and totally in love with each other. Their Castle McCulloch wedding was a blast to shoot. Scott was working on his own wedding that evening, and I was lucky enough to have the fabulous Wendy Weeks take the reins as second shooter. Click on any image to view a larger, more glorious size!

If ya'll remember the rain we had the second week of June, then you'll realize the banks of lake Castle McCulloch were a leetle squishy. Becky, the most laid-back bride ever, was happy to mosey on down for some shots.

And we even wrangled the bridesmaids to join us:

I have always known that the fellas don't require an official helper for the bouttenieres, and can manage just fine on their own.

Groomsmen on the go!

Lots of emotion as they see each other for the first time on their wedding day:

Doug decided to go off book and speak from the heart during their heartbreakingly beautiful, self-written vows:

Wendy was on bride cam, and I love the moments she captured of the ring exchange:

Facing married life together for the first time!

What was that Red Hot Chili Peppers song?

This fella kept a watchful eye over the newleyweds:

An excellent cake smash if there ever was one!

I swear there are more and more of them at every wedding, but getting my back in case I miss anything- I present: the paparazzi!

Doug recovers from the "marital words of wisdom" offered by the couple who had been married the longest:

Not these two. I just like the personality in this shot:

Words cannot express my love for this new twist on the old and tired "garter man put the garter on bouquet girl" reception activity. I loved the gusto and flair with which she performed her task. A girl's got to do what a girl's got to do:

All the standard wedding songs were played- can we guess which one this was? Hint... "a little bit softer now" is what is being enacted:

We were treated with several Buckeye pride songs over the course of the evening. Here is our lovely bride, no longer a marching band member but clearly a fan for life, teaching her bridesmaid/new sister-in-law "Hang on Sloopy," Ohio State, Buckeyes style.

But wait, there's more! This wedding featured, in light of current news events, a rather special moment that deserves it's own blog post. Stay tuned, photo fans, for this couple's rendition of the Thriller dance.
